This urban landscape was entirely made with a knife. First I started by painting a perspective street in a predominantly blue color scheme. Then I applied the yellow in more or less transparent areas to bring the image back on a frontal plane, which had the effect of going from figuration to abstraction while generating a futuristic atmosphere with an atmosphere saturated with heat. Green was obtained by the superposition of yellow on blue and not by their mixture. The title is that of Richard Fleischer’s anticipation film in 1973 with Charlton Heston.
