I always remembered the presence of an image appearing suddenly and forcefully in my child consciousness, I must have been 5 years old. It had settled in me naturally, as a sweet revelation, an evidence. I immediately described it to my mother as a succession of landscapes with houses, each landscape piling up on the previous to reach the number of seven. I even remember their atmosphere colored by a bright but not blinding light. A Noir de Mars and a Gris de Payne of different brands were enough to realize this ambiguous landscape. The light is focused on the ground as in an inverted image while the drips indicate the direction of gravity. In spite of my desire to abstain from the elements of the painting, we can interpret some forms of the central part on the right in a more figurative way as dwellings forming a body with a densified air.
