Rain 80 x 80 x 1.6 cm

Description

It’s a golden rain that ignites the whole landscape. Various yellows diluted with alkyd medium were used to quickly apply successive thin coats of oil paint. The strongly faded background makes us glimpse a dimly lit horizon while the more contrasting foreground lets guess a body of water. More than in my other paintings, I wanted to illustrate a rain of light appearing as a visible radiation. The idea was to superimpose two parallel universes, the so-called material reality and that of the immaterial forces that shape the living and constitute the world in its own right.
