Description
It is by thinking of the unusual and unexplained natural phenomena that I painted this landscape imbued with mystery. Here, the sun or the moon seems buried in the foliage of a vaporous vegetation having the appearance of light spots. The reflection of this ambiguous source spreads on the ground as if it were water, whereas its appearance is more suggested than represented. To work on the bright areas on the ground and in the sky, I let the white of the canvas show through while for treating the central part I mixed white with undiluted colors.
