I think that all forms of conscious life can be considered as so many journeys, including those that hardly move. The journey is here materialized by a sailing boat, symbol of freedom, that of enjoying the sky and the sea while confronting them. But unlike the movement that is the essence of any form of displacement, it is inertia that is illustrated in this composition. The boat seems motionless by nature and not due to lack of wind or its anchor thrown, it has its own autonomy, its own consciousness, rid of any parasitic human presence. By its fusion with the sea through its hull, it makes the link between the sky and water as we do between the inner and outer world.
